The Morris NJ SHRM Chapter offers Transition Services to HR Professionals who are handling an unexpected job change, exploring your next career move, or identifying the value you can provide within an organization, partnering with our Transition Services will provide you a distinct advantage in today’s job market. 

Defining Career Management is the practice of planning effective career steps, milestones and transitions. Each person has different needs and those critical search components in your job search can include:

- Interview preparation and practice

Transition Support Group

Readiness and Transition Services Meeting:  
Please join us to explore your next career move, identify the value you can provide within an organization; fine tune your elevator pitch, interviewing techniques, networking capability, LI tool and any other search related requirements for a productive search.  Don’t do this alone, our transition team members are very supportive.   Attendance is open to HR professionals who are members and non-members alike.  

When and Where does the Readiness and Transition Services Group Meet?
Our Readiness and Transition Services Group meets prior to the monthly SHRM dinner/speaker series from 4:30 - 5:30pm at the Brooklake Country Club.  To register for a Transition Support Group meeting, send an email to Jonathan Parker by 3 pm of the DAY BEFORE the monthly meeting. Failure to register may result in cancellation of that meeting due to lack of attendance.  Registration is separate from the dinner meeting and is required for this service.  

Is there a Fee for the meeting/service?
For those who wish to attend the Readiness and Transition Services Meeting, there is a one-time payment fee for non-Morris County Chapter Members which includes: a copy of a practical career search book, “Designing Your Life” along with the support from your colleagues who are also in transition via our monthly Readiness and Transition Services monthly meeting where participants can attend as many transition meetings as you wish and participation in scheduled Speed Networking Events as applicable.

- Morris County SHRM Chapter Members NOT in Transition - No fee
- SHRM Members in Transition, Affiliated with 1 of the 11 New Jersey Chapters - $25 fee
- NJ National SHRM Member in Transition, not Affiliated with a NJ Chapter - $40

Speed Recruiting

How can Speed Recruiting be of help to you?

Are you a recruiter trying to fill an HR vacancy?  Or are you someone who is currently in transition, or looking for the next career move within HR?  The Morris County SHRM Chapter would like to help you by offering Speed Recruiting.  

What is Speed Recruiting?  It’s a program designed to connect HR Recruiters to candidates within our Chapter.   During the registration period (5-6pm) prior to the monthly dinner meeting, we will set up tables where recruiters and candidates can meet to briefly discuss opportunities and experience.
