Diversity Initiatives

2018 Announcements:

Welcome Members!

The Diversity and Inclusion Committee is an extension of the SHRM Morris County Chapter's learning community.  Our goal is to foster an awareness and appreciation of Diversity and Inclusion, provide a forum for diversity related programs and best practices for our members.  We want to bring members together in ongoing and upcoming initiatives and events that support the goal of enhancing the environment for diversity and inclusion across the chapter.  Morris County SHRM, Diversity and Inclusion Committee takes pride in the strong bonds of community we share.  As a committee we recognize that each person has unique strengths.  By embracing those strengths, we all can deliver high performance-together as a Chapter.

Our commitment to diversity and inclusion are fundamental to our culture and core values at SHRM Morris Chapter, with the ambition to be the most inclusive and diverse chapter in Morris County.  We are all unique in our own way and represent the potential to grow membership.  Therefore, we appreciate and value ideas that come from our diverse members and want to bring diversity of thought, experience and expertise to our chapter.  We will welcome ideas and hope to engage all members in conversation and training around diversity and inclusion.

The Committee will continuously evolve and be open to new ideas and exchanges in the spirit of ensuring that all SHRM Morris members know that their differences and similarities are celebrated and appreciated.  We invite you to partake in the many events that we plan to provide our members for 2018/2019 year.  From social gatherings, volunteering, fundraising, workshops, and opportunities to be guest speakers and share your knowledge and expertise as well.

The SHRM Morris D&I Committee thank you for choosing our chapter and look forward to meeting everyone and building long lasting friendships.
