New Jersey Employment Law Update. Learn about recent legislative and regulatory developments, including the proposed Independent Contractor legislation, Transit Benefit law, and the New Jersey Anti-Wage Theft Law, and the serious impact these laws and others will have on New Jersey employers.

ABOUT OUR SPEAKERS:
Cynthia L. Flanagan co-chairs Schenck Price’s Labor and Employment practice group and concentrates her practice in the areas of labor and employment law and insurance coverage. Ms. Flanagan represents management in all employment-related matters and represents insurance companies in coverage disputes and litigation. Ms. Flanagan counsels to small and mid-size businesses, government entities and individuals in various day to day employment law matters and she routinely renders advice and legal opinions on issues involving discharge, harassment, discrimination, non-compete agreements, civil rights violations and compliance with employment policies.
 
Joseph Maddaloni Jr., co-chair of Schenk Price’s Labor and Employment practice group and concentrates his practice in the areas of labor & employment law, commercial law, and regulatory & government affairs. Mr. Maddaloni represents management and represents clients on labor matters, including union avoidance techniques, organizing campaign strategy, contract negotiation and administration. He also assists in resolving unfair labor practice charges. Mr. Maddaloni also represents management in general employment litigation & counseling matters concerning discharge, discrimination and harassment, non-compete and restrictive covenants, wage and hour, severance and separation agreements, disciplinary actions, and the development of policies and procedures. He also handles general commercial litigation & counseling concerning contract disputes, lease agreements and sale of goods.
