On September 9th, Certified Speaking Professional Chip Madera inspired us with humor and motivational insights around Radical Leadership, Radical Change. He pointed out that it’s not your knowledge and education level that creates radical leadership - it’s a demonstration of your ignited passion that inspires radical change in others. Chip described the traits of Radical Leaders (they generate energy; they inspire courage and radical change; they are aware of their contributions; they know their WOW factor) and offered practical ways to achieve them.

Over 80 Attend College of St. Elizabeth SHRM Student Chapter Launch!
On September 24 the Ward Dining Hall at College of St. Elizabeth (CSE) was packed with over 80 students and Alumni who came to learn about the mentoring and professional development benefits of joining their new SHRM student chapter. At the end of the evening there wasn’t a brownie left and more than 25 enthusiastic hands were raised high indicating their interest to become one of the first CSE SHRM Student Chapter members. Paula DeSimone Awarded the 2008 Janet Robinson Memorial Certification Scholarship
Congratulations to Ms. Paula DeSimone, recipient for the fall certification scholarship! Ms. DeSimone, Human Resource Director with the Olde Mill Inn located in Basking Ridge, cites: “This (PHR) certification will bring me to the next level in my professional development as well as emphasize my dedication to the Human Resources field.” The Chapter is pleased to provide this opportunity to support her in achieving these goals.
