POSITION PROFILE
At our 30-person public relations and speakers agency, our Human Resources Director, with approximately five years’ experience, will assume a versatile role, showcasing a strong grasp of all HR functional areas and manages the office support team.  The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience within an organization of our approximate size.

You will help foster our culture and core values in a fast-paced environment, stemming from a solid understanding of agency services. This role requires high energy, a gregarious attitude, proactive thinking, excellent organizational and communications skills, creativity, project management skills, and the ability to adapt to multiple assignments and deadlines in a frequently changing environment.

You will report to the company president and work closely with Stern’s senior management team to create and implement strategic initiatives. Generating new ideas, applying problem solving skills and sound recommendations based on HR best practices and keeping abreast of developments in employment law are keys to success.

•    Your tenacity will drive you to be aware of HR trends and changes in employment laws and generate buy-in for changes as needed
•    You’ll use forward thinking to provide strategic guidance on employee relations and employment laws
•    You’ll use your creativity to contribute to employee engagement and events
•    You have the courage to make recommendations and decisions to alleviate the burden on senior management
 
WHAT WILL MAKE YOU THE PERFECT FIT?
•    Bachelor’s degree, five years’ experience in HR, HR certification (SHRM or HRCI)
•    Supervisory experience/managed others (preferred)
•    High energy with a gregarious attitude and confidence
•    A proven track record of successfully providing guidance on HR issues
•    Exceptional oral and written communication skills
•    An affinity for details and quality
•    Strong sense of urgency
•    Sound judgment and ability to make smart recommendations
•    A can-do attitude, and display willingness to handle all tasks
