When and How to Re-certify
Recertification must be completed every three years. You may re-certify by either accumulating 60 credit hours of HR related activities or by re-taking the exam. Click here

Earn Recertification Credits with the SHRM Learning System
As previously certified State Council/Chapter members complete the online tutorial pathway to become SHRM certified they will begin a three-year recertification cycle. If your State Council/Chapter chooses to offer a SHRM Learning System study group or partners with a local SHRM Education Partner, that course will continue to build the knowledge and allow certified members to earn up to 36 Professional Development Credits (PDCs). To be eligible, student must complete the online tutorial pathway prior to taking the course. Make sure to let your members know about this opportunity to earn PDCs and learn more about the new SHRM certifications.
